Hotel "Zaliakalnio viesbutis" was built in 1998. The contemporary hotel is located near the church of Resurrection and "Zaliakalnio business center", a bit further from the busy city streets. The hotel's windows face splendid city views.
The room was huge, comfortable and very clean. Although only simply furnished, it had everything needed. There were windows on two sides giving panoramic views over the town. The breakfast was very good, albeit that the hot food was all pre-cooked and somewhat stale. it was very quiet with no disturbances. The staff were very helpful.
As with so many places in that part of the world, it was a corner of an old industrial complex, along a rough cul de sac, totally unattractive on the outside and initially somewhat offputting. The lapdance club opposite was worrying but actually caused no interference!
