The Old Town Bridge
Gamle Bybro, or the Old Town Bridge in Trondheim is a wonderful site, usually crowded with tourists. Built in 1861, the bridge has carved gates still remaining, and used to have a sentry and excise house at either end. The wooden gate that is set on the west side of the bridge, is considered as the Gate of Fortune. The bridge crosses the Nidelya river, offering a view of the Kristiansen fortress.
