Good location, lovely grounds, friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend the hotel to others.
Unfortunately the service was very poor. We ate in the hotel for dinner and the person who served us was quite rude at times and none too helpful in recomending an alternative to our choice of wine which had run out. However the breakfast was a disaster. We waited over 35 minutes for a table, being turned away 3 times from the eating area. we were left to look for a table ourselves as other late diners were seated before us. When we finally got a table there was a very poor quality and quantity of food available. The staff did provide fresh food but only after coaxing from a wedding party who had been seated for almost an hour. On our previous visit the breakfast had been a highlight of the stay. the staff could not cope and were not experienced in dealing with other customers complaints. This poor service detracted from an other wise good choice in terms of room and location
