Central location; room very nicely furnished and lovely amenities, room very quiet

The Hotel Ilaria was lovely, and our family of four had absolutely no complaints. Our two rooms were clean and exceptionally appointed, and one was accessible to a lovely private patio available to rooms on the same side of the hall. Although it was hot (July), the air conditioning system worked flawlessly in both rooms. The breakfast buffet, which was served in a lovely canopied sunroom, included an extensive selection of both hot and cold foods, breads, juices, fresh fruits and meats. Every single staff member we encountered was helpful and friendly, and the front desk staff member recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner (and kindly made reservations for us) on our first night in Lucca. Since parking is at a premium within walls of Lucca, the fact that this hotel could offer an onsite parking space for our car was a key benefit. We would recommend the Hotel Ilaria highly and would choose it again when visiting Lucca.
